Vintage Watch Condition Examination
This Rolex GMT-Master 1675 from circa 1966 remains in great vintage condition, showing signs of wear consistent with its age. The stainless steel case has kept its shape well, with clearly visible serial and reference numbers on the inside caseback (marked: 1675 II.66). The bezel, featuring the distinctive red-back design, is in great condition with some typical wear and natural fading. The date wheel has been replaced with one featuring open 6’s and 9’s. The glossy dial remains in overall very good condition, with only minor signs of wear. The lume has aged to a beautiful yellow tone, with the hour marker at 12 showing a darker patina. The hands have also developed patina, with the lume matching the dial’s aged tone. The original stainless steel Oyster rivet bracelet is in good condition, with slight stretch between the links, as is common for this style. It includes 12 links, 280 end links, and a clasp marked 3/70, indicating it’s from 1970. Notably, the bracelet features an error divers extension with a “Patented” error.
